Masks Required in All Vincentian Buildings at All Times
Effective immediately, and until further notice, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask at all times in all Vincentian buildings. This includes both clinical and non-clinical settings. The only exception to this requirement is when an individual is alone in a private setting or when actively eating or drinking.
The reason for this policy is to maximize protection from the Delta variant of COVID-19 and to reduce the possibility of spreading the virus to others. This recommendation is based upon updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Pennsylvania Department of Health Alert Network (HAN 583) Update.
Vincentian will continue to monitor the level of transition in Western Pennsylvania and will issue updated guidance if additional changes are needed. This masking requirement does NOT diminish the protective effect of the vaccine and we still strongly recommend that you get the COVID vaccine to protect yourself.
PLEASE NOTE: The existing requirement for face masks and eye protection continues to be in place for all staff in Vincentian’s Skilled Nursing Facility and Personal Care Home buildings.
