The Unconventional Kitchen serves up a special brand of goodness designed to nourish and fortify the Vincentian mission and our community – body and soul.   Operating out of the traditional and immaculate commercial kitchen located at VLEI – the former St. Louise Convent, the Unconventional Kitchen pairs culinary delights with social consciousness in a place where food and purpose come together in the best way. 

Our Director of Culinary Experience, Chef Kevin Watson, propels the mission by bringing a fresh new perspective, a dynamic team, and an exciting new menu that feeds both senses and appetites. The new menu is designed to delight every palate and showcases the Unconventional Kitchen’s commitment to using locally sourced, environmentally conscious partners to bring only the best to your table. Chef Kevin and his team have infused a special brand of culinary expertise and a serious understanding of food as a love language that is helping all to eat well while giving back.

The Unconventional Kitchen is available for all catering needs, from special events and party trays to delicious, sweet treats from our bakery. Select family meals are available to Vincentian employees, residents, and our Vincentian and VCDC families. Every order and bite strengthens a century-strong mission of compassionate care.
