Late yesterday, Tuesday, November 30, a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction against the Biden administration’s mandate that all healthcare workers involved in the Centers for Medicare or Medicaid Services (CMS) programs must be vaccinated against COVID-19. It is anticipated that the federal courts will make a final ruling regarding the vaccine mandate at a later date.

In light of this development, no action by Vincentian employees, contracted staff, or vendors to provide proof of vaccination or request an exemption is required at this time.

Vincentian will continue to monitor the federal court proceedings and will comply with all CMS requirements, and all other applicable federal and state regulations, including a potential COVID vaccine mandate if it is ultimately upheld.

For now, we and healthcare providers nationwide await a final ruling from our legal system regarding the vaccine mandate before we will take any further action. Vincentian continues to encourage all employees to become fully vaccinated from COVID-19, including those who recently began a vaccination series.

We thank our fully vaccinated staff who have already provided proof of vaccination to Human Resources. These records will be retained securely should the mandate be upheld.
