Aimi visits with resident Jim Hart

Aimi Long, ADC, MCV, Life Enrichment Director at Vincentian Marian Manor, earned two achievements through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) in 2021.

In October, she became one of only 28 activities professionals in the nation to be designated as a licensed NCCAP instructor to teach the Modular Education Program certification for Activity Professionals (MEPAP).

The MEPAP certification is considered a high standard credential for activities professionals in senior living. It assures administrators and surveyors that activities professionals have the knowledge and skills to deliver the highest quality person-centered care across the continuum of care.

In May, Aimi earned her certification in Memory Care Validation Engagement, also through NCCAP. The coursework focused on gaining the knowledge and skills to communicate and be genuinely present with older adults experiencing age-related cognitive decline.

Aimi joined Vincentian in 2004 as an Activity Aide at Vincentian Regency. She became a nationally certified Activity Director in 2008 and has served at several Vincentian facilities in various positions, including Activity Director/Volunteer Coordinator, Encore Services Director and currently as Life Enrichment Director for Vincentian Marian Manor.
