Who will win the Thrive Weight Race? Only 9 Days To Go
For the last 11 weeks, 17 teams and 134 employees have been competing to lose weight and get into a healthier, more mindful routine. In just a few days, they’ll find out who the top three winning teams of Vincentian’s Thrive Weight Race challenge are. Overall, Vincentian is on track to beat last year’s Weight Race Challenge total of 748 pounds with the same number of participants. Weigh to go!!
Employees who complete the challenge will earn 15 credits toward the Thrive health Education wellness incentive.
If you didn’t join the Weight Race, you can still make health changes. If you don’t know where to start, try talking to a UPMC Health Coach. Call 1-866-778-6073 (TTY 711), or log in to MyHealth OnLine to chat with a coach. Not only will it help you start your journey toward better health, but you can also earn up to 25 points toward the $50 Health Education incentive.
Prize Information
Top 3 Teams with the highest percentage of weight loss:
- 1st place: Each team member receives $50.
- 2nd place: Each team member receives $25.
- 3rd place: Each team member receives a Vincentian meal ticket.
Facility with the highest percentage of employees who complete challenge:
- Facility keeps Thrive Cup for one month after the challenge.
- Each participating employee receives a Vincentian meal ticket.
Prize Drawings at each campus:
- Employees who complete the 12-week challenge will be entered into a drawing for a one-week preferred parking space or a one-week bus pass.
The campaign runs from Monday, Jan. 24, to Friday, April 15.
Prizes & Bragging Rights
The First Challenge Trophy Goes To…
VCS/Independent Living for having the highest percentage of employees sign up for the Weight Race Challenge – 50%. Now they get to hold on to the Thrive Wellness trophy for the next month. And each employee who signed up will receive a Vincentian meal ticket.
Well done, Wellness Champions Lindsey Efkeman, Cassie Tenos and Christine Holko, for leading the effort and winning the first mini-challenge of this year’s Weight Race. They each will receive a $50 gift card.
Want to get your hands on the trophy?
You can have the trophy for a month if your facility has the highest percentage of employees who complete the challenge.
