The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) selected Vincentian Home as one of four regional sites to participate in a statewide program designed to provide immediate capacity relief for area hospitals. The program begins in early February and is expected to run for approximately 90 days. The program will be located in Building 4 (Heritage), Floor 2 at Vincentian Home.

This program will not serve COVID-19 positive individuals. Rather, the program is designed to serve individuals who should be recovering in a setting like Vincentian Home but remain in the hospital due to the limited availability of post-acute care beds.

All staffing resources for the program, both clinical and non-clinical, will be provided by DOH and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Vincentian’s normal operations across the campus will not be impacted.

Vincentian is honored to have been selected by the state to partner in this program. We are pleased to be recognized as a provider of choice for our ongoing commitment to clinical excellence.

More information about this program is available on the DOH website.
