Two upcoming programs are putting clinical excellence at the forefront of our workforce development efforts.
In preparation for the anticipated October 1, 2023, implementation of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 Resident Assessment Instrument, certain management of Clinical Excellence participated in the 25th Annual PANAC Conference in State College on June 8 and 9. Drawing from education materials, internal educational sessions are being coordinated for all of Vincentian’s skilled nursing personnel during August and September. An initial kick-off occurred at the Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator (RNAC) Round Table seminar at the Vincentian Learning and Engagement Institute.
Additionally, Vincentian’s skilled nursing leaders will participate in a 7-week Virtual Nurse Leader Training Series conducted by Leading Age, August 1 through September 12, which will be hosted at VLEI. The curriculum includes the following topics: Conducting Investigations, Root-cause Analysis, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI), Survey Preparedness and Management, Foundational Systems for Clinical Success, Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Regulatory Requirements, Reportable Adverse Events (State and Federal), and Role and Responsibility of the Clinical Unit Manager.
These initiatives are all part of Vincentian’s commitment to quality as highlighted by one of our organizational goals for FY24: Relentlessly Pursue and Deliver Quality Products, Services, and Outcomes.
As a reminder, our organizational goals include:
- Generate and Curate Consequential Economic Momentum
- Incorporate the Eight Dimensions of Wellness and Intergenerational Practices into all Experiences
- Relentlessly Pursue and Deliver Quality Products, Services, and Outcomes
- Intentionally Design for and Practice Environmental, Economic, and Social Sustainability
