The Vincentian community is thriving, and the Vincentian Learning and Engagement Institute (VLEI) continues to cultivate new relationships and opportunities to connect, support and engage in the community.
A few new offerings are on the horizon.
Beginning in September, Heart Saver First Aid CPR AED classes will be offered at our north campus location. Our trained instructor will guide students through learning first aid basics, adult CPR, AED use, and other useful skills. This course is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared with basic emergency skills. Schedules and registration details will be coming soon.
Offering support to our community in other ways is also important, and Vincentian has partnered with Anchorpoint Counseling Ministries – a faith-based ministry of professionals committed to serving community members and families of all faiths and backgrounds – to begin offering support groups to our residents, families and the community. Our first group – grief support for our independent living residents – launched in July, with attendance and participation steadily increasing. Offerings for a local community-based grief group, dementia support, care for the caregiver, and support for parents are currently in planning stages as well.
Stay tuned for more educational opportunities, events and VLEI-on-the-Road, bringing engagement opportunities to you at every campus!
